Finished up my Christmas shopping today and had some extra time so I went to the theatre to see this movie tonight. Certain circumstances are getting me down this holiday so I was looking for a good laugh to cheer me up a bit. Jim Carey didn’t let me down he put a smile on my face and I was snickering to myself as I walked out of the theatre thinking about the movie.
The story is about a kind of loser guy whose life didn’t seem to be going anywhere. He decides to enter a self help program in which there motto is to just say yes to anything and everything. He must say yes for 1 whole year. His life begins to change in unexpected ways, like starting a new romance and getting promoted at his job. Everything seems to be going great but his willingness just might be too much of a good thing.
Jim Carey and his romantic partner Zooey Deshanel have great chemistry together, they light up the screen. As for laughs, there was plenty of them. I give this movie a rating of a 8. I have always been a fan of Carey’s quirky comedy.
