The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button
Starring: Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Julia Ormand and Faune A. Chambers
The story is about a boy (Pitt) who is born with a very rare disease in which he ages backwards. We follow the story of his life as he grows younger and everyone else around him is getting older. Cate Blanchett plays the part of the love interest of Pitt and does a wonderful job. The movie gives you the messages of nothing last forever, live life to your fullest, be true to yourself and don’t be afraid to try new things, summing that up its a movie of life and death.
What I found to be totally amazing was the makeup, Pitt going from a man who looks like he is 80 to a younger man than himself of a teenager, while Blanchett got older and older. Brad Pitt did a superb acting job, more than likely he will receive an Oscar nomination. The movie is quite long at almost 3 hours but I was so intrigued and into the story of how it would play out that it didn’t bother me.
This is a definite movie to see with riveting messages about death and just being happy to be alive. My rating is a 8.
