Starring: Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Mary Steenburgen, Richard Jenkins and Adam Scott

Ferrell and Reilly play two almost 40 year olds who still live with their parents. When Ferrell’s mom and Reilly’s dad decide to get married the two must share a room together. Dad lays down the law and tells them they have a week to go out and find a job. What transpires is a domestic confusion. Can the stepbrothers find peace in a house filled with conflict and disagreement.

If you are a fan of Will Ferrell’s comedy then you will like this movie. I myself am not to fond of Ferrell but I have to say that I enjoyed this movie to some extent. There is nothing but crude humor and swearing  the entire movie and some scenes were just plain stupid and gross but it did make me laugh. My advice is do not let the children see this movie.

All In all I think the storyline could of been a little better but it does deliver the laughs. My rating is a 5.

Starring: Greg Kinnear, Ricky Gervais, Tea Leoni and Brian Hutchinson

Ricky Gervais plays a dentist who unexpectedly dies and after an astounding  seven minutes he is revived. Now he has the irrating ability to see ghosts. All the ghosts want something from him. Kinnear plays one of the ghosts that wants him to break up the imminent marriage of his widow.

This is one of  Gervais’s first big Hollywood roles and he does a good job at bringing some of his dry wit to the screen. He made the character believable as well as Kinnear, I think this was a perfect role for him.

Parts of the movie were funny  and some parts were very touching and heartfelt, it kept me cativated the whole time. There is not alot of drama and action in this movie but I think it is well worth seeing for being light hearted and fun.  A very entertaining movie and I give it a rating of a 6.
