Paul Blart Mall Cop
Starring: Kevin James, Keir O’Donnell, Jayma Mays, Raini Rodriguez, Shirley Knight and Stephen Rannazzisi
The story is about a guy whose aspiration is to become a police officer but cannot pass the physical exam because he is overweight. He settles for being a mall security officer who after a methodical gang of criminals takes over the mall and take hostages he becomes trapped inside and feels it is his duty to stay and help the police in apprehending them.
Kevin James plays the security officer and is the one who delivers most of the laughs for the movie. I like him in his tv role on the show King of Queens mainly the reason for going to see this film. Although the movie at times made no sense and was a little far fetched, I found it to be a really entertaining movie. The supporting cast did an admiral job but Kevin James was the actor who shined.
There is minimal violence and lots of laughs, a slapstick of a comedy. I recommend taking the kids to see this one and I give it a rating of a 5
I love “King of Queens”, too and that is enought for me to want to see any Kevin James movie.
Kevin James is hilarious but this is definitely a ‘wait for dvd’ pick for me, glad to know that it has some redeeming qualities though
