Revolutionary Road
Starring: Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Shannon, Ryan Simpkins and Ty Simpkins
The story is simple, it is about a couple who meet, fall in love, and start a family, then when things start to fall apart they feel they need a change and decide to move. There they try and start a new life and try to mend a marriage that is slowly fading with time.
Kate and Leonardo back together again and they lit up the screen with their outstanding performances. They were flawless in their roles and really brought their characters to life. It didn’t feel scripted, they made you feel in the moment with them. I totally got the picture, anyone in any kind of relationship that slowly broke apart and they felt helpless to stop it will know and feel for this couple, understanding that it is so true to real life.
This is so not your typical love story but a jolt of intense reality. To me this is a well worth seeing film that leaves you questioning your own physiological need for the life you have chosen. My rating is a 7.
