Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans

Published by chris6818 at 4:21 pm under Action, Fantasy, Horror, Thriller Edit This

Starring: Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Rhona Mitra, Steven Mackintosh and Keven Grevioux

This is the 3rd installment of the Underworld sequels. It is not about the ongoing battle of the vampires and werewolfs this time, it is now the vampires and the beginning of their feud with the Lycans.

I am a fan of  Underworld and I thought that the original one was definitely the best of this series. I stilled enjoyed this installment and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Underworld. I was thouroughly entertained throughout the film. There is some great fighting scenes and plenty of blood and gore. I found this movie to be much more intriguing and tragic then the previous 2. The acting from Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy and Rhona Mitra was excellent and the action is pretty much none stop.

Even though there is alot of violence and fighting, deeply embeded in the plot is a love story. The special effects were nothing short of amazing, a truly astounding fantasy. A must see in my opinion even if you hadn’t seen either of the first two movies. My rating is a 7.

The first one will always be the best and the classic one in the series. It’s one of my most favorite films and my favorite vampire film. The second one I was very disappointed with. And the third made me love the series all over again. And yes, the acting with Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy was FANTASTIC. That’s also what makes these films great is the acting. And the storyline, especially in the first is so intriguing. It was nice to see the back story play out. B
